Our Services

Boarding:

We are proud to offer both Natural and full board, top quality feed and hay, and a variety of extras to our clients.  The health and well being of the horse always comes first at Emerald Spring.  We feed a natural whole grain and forage based diet, Coastal Bermuda and Oat hay, and a limitted amount of Alfalfa.  Custom feeding options are available at additional cost.
Natural Board:  Includes 24 hour turnout on quality, well maintained pastures, feeding two times per day in custom designed feeding stalls, hay at least twice a day year round, as necessary, and full use of the riding facilities.
Full Board:  Includes a roomy, safe stall, turnout on a daytime schedule during the winter, and night during the summer, feeding two times per day, plentiful hay while stalled, and full use of the riding facilities.

Training, Lessons, Sales, and Breeding

Our facility is equipped to handle stallion collection for fresh semen.  Broodmare care and foaling is available in roomy 20' x 20' foaling stalls with attached paddocks.  For breeding, boarding and foaling questions, contact Laura at emeraldspring@att.net
Laura Trumbower has taken the EquineReproduction.com Reproduction Short Course  (February, 2006) to learn more about handling Frozen Semen.  She has already been certified in Artificial Insemination with fresh semen from LSU.
She has foaled out over fifty mares in the last twenty years, and is committed to the safety and health of both mare and foal.  Our foaling stalls will be equipped with close circuit cameras this winter, as well as infrared heating lamps for cold early spring nights of foaling.
